You might be lucky and be able to just machine the disc back to smoothness. Depends on how badly it's warped. Shouldn't most more than $50!

BTW, I found out that you know a friend of mine! Linda.

If the rotors are warped, I wouldn't even think of fixing them ... just go to the nearest scrapyard and look for some rotors in a decent condition that may be useable.

Still, you might take this as an excuse (funds permitting) to upgrade to DBA rotors ... their slotted ones work like magic. Surprised

if it is a pulsation, then it's prolly discs, if it is a sharp knocking (ie more sudden) then it could be your drums (if you have them. i've had both and the warped drums are more alarming Wink
jack up the back wheels and (hand) spin them with the handbrake partially on, if it catches twicw per rev, then it's the drums.

disc maching should only be about $10 per disc.. some kmarts do it, and there is a good brake place in alexandria called "sydney clutch and brake"
if you take the discs off yourself it'll definitely save a few $$

call a few places (SC&B included) and see hwta they charge for machining...

good luck
Cya, Stewart

ps, if you can get your hands on a dial run-out gauge, use that to check the discs.. or even spin them by hand with a bit of wire touching them, if it's bad, you'll know...
