Intercooler parts, pipe/bends/rubber joints? Thu, 20 June 2002 04:16 Go to next message
Howdy, currently fitting an intercooler to the RA28. Just wondering if anyone has some recommendations around the Sydney area of where I can buy some mandrel bends, maybe a donut.

The rubber joiners and straight stainless pipe?

Thanks very much.

Joel

What intercooler are you fitting Joel? I'm looking around at options for my RA28 (3t-gt) at the moment. Are you going for a crossflow style (inlet and outlet on opposite sides)?

Howdy, I'm fitting a custom made job. core size is 400x300x75. Total size including tanks is 556x300x75.

Pipe on each side. I will be getting a custom inlet manifold for the 3t-gte so the pipe can run straight down into the IC and not across the engine.

G'day Joel,

Did you get your cooler from a guy in Newy?

I'm looking at one for my 28...

What is it like?

Cheers

so do you have to cut to fit it in?
Do you have a cooler at the moment?

I have been too lazy to measure if it will fit, but you must have before you bought it....
Do you have a thermo in front of your radiator?

I currently have a 1ggte supra cooler, but i think these would be heaps better.... mine just fits though...
