2s-c fuel pump (broken or not)

im having problems with the fuel system in my car.
when the fuel tank gets low (about 1/8 of a tank) the engine cuts out if i rev the car past 1200 rpm.
the fuel filter is usually full (about 2-3mm from top) but recently only has about 5mm of fuel in it (down from about 50mm)
when the tank is full the car only cuts out high in the rev range and the filter remains almost empty.
can anyone tell me what the problem is (is the pump stuffed)
cheers

If you have doubts about your petrol pump, replace it...
Cheers.

Hey,
I have a 2S-C as well. They are fitted on the Croana ST14x as well. Parts are sort of avaliable. I had mine changed after it kept on stalling and did 250,000Kms. Now the car is 450,000Kms on the second pump and going strong.
Having a pump changed makes the mind reassuring that you would not breakdown on the side of the road from fuel starvation.
Cheers.

the car already broke down from lack of fuel on friday. filled the tank up past halfway and it runs ok but stalls high up in the range.

Just replace the pump. Look around the pump and make sure that the petrol isn't leaking out the pump.
Just replace it.
