Ok guys, its time for me to clear out some stuff i have lying around!

18R-GU Motor, 11111-88253 head (same as EFI head, big port big valve). Runs well, complete except for carbies. Comes with 4-1 extractors, carby intake manifold, and maybe a spare 11111-88250 head if you twist my arm well enough. I havent done a compression test because i dont have the tools to do so.

I also have a W50 gearbox spare.... needs a little clean but otherwise works well. $50

Im located in sydney, and the motor isn't in a working vehicle im sorry. But i can vouch that it works, because i used to drive it everyday.

ok... the 18R-G in stock used 9.7:1 compression pistons, whereas the 18R-GU used 8.7:1 and the 18R-GEU used 8.3:1.
The 18R-G head used smaller valves and small ports, and they both got bigger for the 18R-GU, and again for the 18R-GEU.
here is some info on the heads:

> - 62744 single late rgu still good head may be small stud ex should be
single dump
> - 81784 double spring late also
> - 87278 double spring late also
> 88270: these are ale efi heads all double springs alll good heads these
are the ones you use
> - 35140 biggest ports biggest valves no smog ports best casting
> - 08037
> - 49383 very late head newest ive seen
> ?:
> - 81225 same as above double late rgu if the head is a 11111-88253 not a
11111-88270

> 88253 88270s would be the heads of choice since these need very little work from the factory these willl make lots of power with little porting
they will make a lot more power with a lot of porting
the castings are a lot thicker around the ports so there is a lot of room
the 88250s can be made good but the ex studs should be changed up to 10mm ones for best sealing

just be glad you dont have any of those 11111-88230 or 88210 heads they are
good paper weights

I have the 11111-88253 head on this motor. And im pretty sure that it has the 8.7:1 compression pistons. Bit nevertheless it has the big ports and double valve springs which is what you want. Basically its the best head from the 18R-G motors.

All the blocks are identical, and are wiiide open for what you want to achieve. A little boring and honing and some oversized pistons reap some good rewards, but the best thing you can do i whack in the 9.7:1 pistons, use the 88253 or 88270 head and port the sucker out. Damn fine! As you can see these two heads have the greatest power potential of them all.

shipping the motor to canberra... would be less than $100

I actually just bought one about 2 weeks ago.
But if I hadn't I would buy yours.

I wouldn't mind the extractors though.

Ok, this is the kind of engine I would really like to have in my car and I have been searching a long time for an engine like this. I live in Sweden and it is very hard to find an 18R-G here in Europe. What I am wondering is if it's possible to ship an engine from Australia to Sweden and does anybody know what it would cost? I work on merchant ships and I will maybe come to Australia in Oct-Now and if I could find and buy an engine it might be possible for me to bring it onboard the ship and that would save me the money for the transport to Sweden. Does anybody have any tips, ideas, comments or suggestions? Thanks.

I'm also very interested in this engine.

Roughly how much to send to melbourne? I would gladly pay the additional costs.
Also need to know if this is a reco'd engine or how many K's its done.
