I have been researching and planning a new Ride

The Idea is to get a KE70/AE70 (latter prefered) and to convert engine into a 4A-GZE with a Trueno (I cannot spell) Drive Train, 5 speed gearbox, rear diff and 4 wheel discs.

My research is starting to get a bit thin, and after info regarding this from people whu have actually done something like this, or worked with it.

To be frank I have no idea how hard/easy this will be, how to find and get the parts. I have found a few palces but no real insight into achieving this type of conversion....

What is your Ride?

One of the Major Probs I seem to be at the moment is the Engine Mounts, on the KE70 I would need to modify/get new ones (IF so by how and what means, I know the AE70 engine mounts should just bolt this engine straight in. I think realistically I will be converting a KE70, they seem so much easier to get.

...in which case, you'd get an AE71 x-member. A 4AG/ZE will bolt up to it then...

82 KE70 XX
AE86 Drive train
4A-C

*Cough* 4AC *Cough*

*Laughs*

We've had this "debate" before...Get a 4AG, and go from there!

I'll admit, the 4AC would be a lot easier (direct bolt-in swap from a wrecked AE71), but as for performance? Well, put it this way; You don't ever have to worry about the 4AC's performance...Because there is no performance to worry about! Laughing

*Ducks*

BTW. Totally agree with the KE70XX choice though!
