Easiest, cheapest, best coils to use?

I'm trying to figure out what coils I should use when I do my turbo upgrade.
I have been planning to just get the 4A-GZE twin coils & run them with a microtech MTX-8, but due to availability & price of second hand units, I'm wondering if there are any better coils I should/could be considering?
The MTX-8 has inbuilt ignitors, so that should make things easier.

They could be the go.
Basically if I'm buying second hand coils I don't wanna have to pay too much, & I'd like to know what aftermarket options I have.

Well the 7M-GTE coils are basicly the same as the 4A-GZE items, just cheaper because they are easier to come by

Or u could go new Bosch coils....
$50 for single ended ones,or
$~75 for the double ended ones
Remember tho, a second hand coil can crack very easily, rendering them useless.

Ah, now that sounds promising. If I can get a couple of brand new bosch coils for $150, I'm there!
I'll go & suss them out at repco, but in the meantime, any chance of a part no. or something?
Thanks mate!
BTW, what's the matter, did wet greasy roads & 300 odd rwhp put you off last nights cruise?
There were some good photo opportunities, but never mind, there'll be plenty more.

I have heard (have not used them myself) that M&W make some very nice packs etc.
Just another option really........

You will run waste spark, same as the factory 4AGZE setup right? If so, buy a new 4 cylinder coilpack direct from haltech for only $78. I've used them on both my 3TGTE & 4AGTE & cant fault them.
Cheers

Sweet, some great suggestions there, thanks for that.
I don't think I'll be running around chasing 2nd hand ones now.

Joel,
300hp didnt scare me at all . The missus had the....um....house to herself for the weekend...so i was thinking with my "other" head on friday nite
If you go to www.motec.com.au, and search around in there, they should have part numbers for all bosch bits they recomend

If your running a MTX8 your better off taking full advantage of it and running individual coil packs instead of waste spark, particularly if its turbo. If not turbo run wastespark.
The MTX8 has four igniters but depending on the program loaded into it will depend on what you can run. It may be configurable to change between waste and sequential firing, check that out first before you buy your coils.
As Josh says get the bosch ones from Microtech direct.

what's the measurable advantage of individual coils over waste spark? Or maybe its better to ask what the disavantages of waste spark are?
