RWD conversion engine 4SF Sun, 27 April 2003 23:10 Go to next message
Something diferent for that RWD conversion. 4SF Rear wheel drive. Similar to 3SF camry but 1800cc. Has rwd manifolds, and will bolt to rwd gearbox. A camry computer and loom will run it( plenty at wreckers). Would make a grunter corolla . You could always put rwd accesories on a 3SF for that 2000 cc conversion. Andrew V

very interested. Can you tell me please what car the 4s came out of? corona isn't it? I know somebody doing a ke55 power up at the moment but still tossing up ideas. I was talking with him about fronting a celica 5spd with a 3S-fe or GE, but even if we could mate the gear box to the engine still had worries about the inlet manifold. So if you could pm me back with a price and an idea as to what gearbox and bellhousing we'd need to make it happen with your 4s-fe he'd prob'ly be real interested.

Regards,
Chris.

Sorry, Forgot to put a price. $725. It has an 8 bolt crank and has a flex plate on it at the moment. The reason I bought it was that I had never seen one before and having had corolla's and other RWD small Toyotas I thought It would have to make a great conversion. I can throw in a T50 bellhousing to suit.I have no Idea what it came out of but it had a car type auto not a van one with top mount. We also have the engine mount brackets that came with it.

Just did a bit of a search through Google and found this info. For car handbooks.
engine came in.
90-94 Camry/proinent/vista
89-93 Carina
92-95 Corona
92-95 MkII Cresta/Chaser
I think these are all Jap imports to America from what the site was.
Hope that helps
