Headlight Power

Hey, my finance went through today, so i get my new car tomorrow.
I ended up getting a ST184 1990 Toyota Celica.
It's the last model with popup lights. Anyway, it's already got keyless entry which beeps, but doesn't flash any lights when locked or unlocked.
What i would like to do is find the wire that power goes through to light up the lights, which i can do using a test light. I want to get this wire and put it into my headlight circuit so that when i unlock/lock the car, the brakelights flash and the lights pop up (as they do when you switch it to headlights, even if just for a fraction of a second).
Does anybody know where the wire is that i should patch in to, or how i can identify it. I want the part between the dash and the relay, because i dont' think there would be a lot of power there?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. My next car will be a supra

I dont think this is going to work Normally the volts from the alarm to light the blinkers is only high(12volts) for something like a second! This not going to be anywhere long enough for the lights to even popup!
Sounds good in theory but not very practical! Also think about the unnecessary wear and tear on the popup mechanicals

With the headlight setup, if you flick the lights on and off straight away, the lights only flash on for however long you let them, but the lights pop up anyway. What i want to do is get this voltage to the wire before the machine that determines weather the lights go up. I don't want the lights to just turn on, but pop up as well. I think there would be a wire from the switch that goes to the front of the car, and then from there it would bridge off to the motor and the actual light?

the other problem is the headlight curcuit will draw more current than your alarm will handle. The alarm is only disigned to flash the indicators.

My thought on this subject is you dont want the lights poping up any more than they "really" have to! The mechanicals will not last for ever and you do not want to be replacing these if something wears out

Just hook it up to the indicators or the park light circuit... I reckon if You hook it up to the headlights (I've never seen it done before), it will draw too much current and as Shane said, the unnecessary wear on the pop up mechanisms...

Alright, Alright, i'll hoot it up to the indicators. Where would be the best place to "patch in" the alarm wire to the blinking circuit?

If you can find the remote receiver module there should be a wire comming out of it for the flasher function (if it is equipped with it). If you do find it make sure you use two Diodes to stop the blinkers shorting through the module (one on each blinker circuit). the easiest place to connect it is in the steering column.
