Heater/Air Con Controls Wed, 30 April 2003 01:58 Go to next message
Dont know how many people have actually pulled apart the heater controls etc, but basically the lever switches that control Hot/cold, fresh/recycled etc work off a cable. In order for the cable to be moved the lever switch is fixed by a plastic pin/lug/clip at the fulcrum point.

Just curious if anyone knows of a way to get these clips/pins as wreckers will not separate them from the unit, and this is the only thing busted on mine.

Thanks, Mick

"Pick 'n' Payless" is the place you want to try.

it will cost you $2 entry, but on your way out, most guys wont charge you for little pieces of crap like the clips you speak of. Also there are 100's of cars to pinch parts from!

Will have to make the effor to go there again, most of the AE82 they have were completely trashed about a month ago, I wish people would pull thing apart properly when they are looking for a part and not just break everyting that they dont need......
