 sprinter digital gauges into celica

I saw a mod the other day where someone put some digital tacho and speedometer from a sprinter, maybe. Just wanted to know how difficult/costly this would be.

Doable, I spose - but then if you actually FOUND an AE86 digi dash for sale, it'd probably cost more than the celica...
If it was an xa6x celica though, it may have had an ma61 dash in it.

most likely you would also need the electronics to run such a dash. Im not sure if they run independandly (only taking analog input direct from sources) or if they require the ECU or similar computer to function.
Either way, sounds DAMN COOL!

If it's anything like an MA61 dash (and it probably is), all inputs are analog. Even the speedo runs off a conventional mechanical cable. Wiring it in shouldn't be much of a challenge.

if your still interested in doing the swap, the MA61 digi dash should be much easier to find than a sprinter one.

Yup. As a matter of fact, I may be selling mine soon... IF I can find a decent Celica analog dash to replace it with.

Norbie, why do you want a Celica dash? Wouldn't you prefer an analogue Supra dash? Already set up for 6 cylinder, oil pressure gauge instead of light?
