The head light switch can be repaired. put a posting on club4ag technical section for instructions on how to do this.

Sorry, just remembered that I said I would post some pictures on how to fix the problem some time ago Very Happy I've got myself a digital camera now, so I'll take some pictures later on and post them up for you.

OK, here's how to fix the switch:

When you remove the switch from the dash, you will end up with the below. Simply pop the back off the switch assembly with a small flat head screw driver. Just lever it off in the positions shown by the arrows - there are two places that clip in on each side (a total of four).

When you have popped the back off, you will see the below. Just pull the circuit board away carefully.

This will reveal another circuit board. Check for broken solder joints and re-solder.

This was the broken connection in mine.

It should only be around a 10 minute job once you have it out of the dash.
