I have been ringing noltec for two years for the sprinter strut tops and they are always a month away. Gave up in the end.

I was looking for some to suit my RA28.
Noltec were quite expensive, over $500 from memory.. K-mac were more around the $400 mark I think.
Wonder if any other companies make them?

I have a set of K-Mac's in the front of my '84 Supra and love them. Cost was around $350 a month ago. HOWEVER, I haven't tried other brands for comparison and also had new springs & shocks fitted at same time - so hard to isolate which bits are making which improvements. My only gripe is that I can't get rear adjustable strut tops - where I need them most.

Interesting!!
How do u define BEST. Strut adjusters just do one thing and that is to position the top of the strut in a position that allows camber/caster adjustment. Any one will do this the same once it is adjusted.
Maybe BEST relates to the ease of doing this as they have differing means of actually making the adjustment - but remember they have exactly the same outcome - positioning the top of the strut.
Or does BEST relate to appearance - then BEST is a subjective judgement. Do K-Mac or Noltec or Cuso or someother brand look the BEST? Actually I like the Cuso the most - but that is my opinion.
My K-Mac cost $295 supplied, fitted and wheels aligned, and the struts have stayed in the right place for a year now - don't look as good but work BEST.

the resson i dislike k-mac is due to the fact that the actual plate that takes all the load of the car is quite thin. now because this set up requires this plat to slide between two other plates, the load bearing plate often bends. when it has bent, you get no more slide and therefore no more adjustment. this is why i dont think they are the BEST.
the noltec tops APPEAR to be designed better.
looks have absolutely nothing to do with it. thats just stupid.
functionality and ease of adjustment however have everything to do with it.
EMP-2TG - thanks will try.......

Thing about KMAC products (not just the strut tops) is that they may not always fit quite like they should, sometimes they seem a bit clunky, but they usually end up doing the job FAIRLY well. That's what I've found anyway!

Thanks. You have given reasons to make decisions regarding one brand over the other not just opinion, which was wot I was reacting to.

I got beefed up ones, to suit a rally setup, quite quickly aka 1 week, but I do know the owner, Did you want me to check out getting a few done?
Kmac aren't really good for, the plate system does move under the hard pounding, I got the Noltech as they are similar design to the Cusco and they were able to customise there system to my shock's, proflex rally. The cusco just didn't fit!!
