I'm going to buy a ae101(two door) at syndey, I saw the trading post it cost $15000, is the price alright? if too expensive how much is reasonable?
anyone have one yet? please share what you feel with this car

if its what u want then go for it, dont let anyone stop u if its the car you are after, but lets put this price in perspective.
$15G can get u
a JZA80 supra 2JZ-GE
a JZA70 supra 1JZ-GTE
a JZZ30 soarer 1JZ-GTE
a MA70 supra 7M-GTE plus change
a MA61 supra with the conversion engine of your choice
a RWD celica with the conversion engine of your choice
a AE86 with the conversion engine of your choice
not to mention a lot of cars from nissan, mazda and the likes, and some FWD cars *cough*  j/k
dont forget to think about insurance too...

i think $15000 is faar too much to pay for a car that only has 87kW at the flywheel, and not very much in the way of "sportyness". Despite how "new" it may be, i just don't think $15000 is well justified in today's toyota performance market.
Like Rob suggested, there is a whole plethora of nice Toyotas out there that can be had at equal or less money. The AE101 2 door would be nice, but in my opinion it lacks a blacktop 20V motor and that 6 speed gearbox...... and it also lacks handling.
Think wisely my man - depreciation will be a KILLER on a newer car like this - you will NEVER see your money back after you are done with the car.
Just my ideas mate
