auto for 3T Fri, 02 May 2003 09:01 Go to next message
Ok my problem is that with my Hybrid 3T-G motor, the rest of the drive line can't take the stress, espeacially thrid gear in the auto (blew out an o-ring). I still want an automatic and have thought that the 4 speed unit with over-drive from a RT142 corona would be somewhat seeing the job. Apparently this is the 2.4L EFI motored corona, carbied verions don't have overdrive, or so I'm told.
What I need to know is on what side of the bellhousing is the starter motor on, and I would like to hear about any problems you can see with this conversion or if you can think of a better box.
And NO i do not want a manual, please don't ask why, I just want an auto in this car.
cheers

I beleive they have an electronic overdrive and therefore needs tje engine computer signal to tell it what to do.
I might be wrong. but it's another thought.
oh and also I want to do this under $500
