Agze Supercharger? Sat, 03 May 2003 02:07 Go to next message
hi folks,

i believe the Agze supercharger is of a toyota origin?

im looking at supercharging a G13A suzuki engine in a 1985 Barina and have been told the agze would be the way to go as it should give me about 10psi boost which is all im after.. just make driving the bloody thing a bit more fun.

is the agze what i'm after or have the people from the various car forums ive been visiting in the last few weeks having me on? if the agze isnt what you think i need, please let me know! im willing to try just about anything in reason.

regards

Zach

What I think you're refering to is the SC12 supercharger off a 4A-GZE engine, which yes is brought to you by Toyota.
I reckn this would work very well on a G13A, I'd be suprised if it hasn't been done before or if there wasn't someone making kits to pair the 2.
Often brackets are made up from AC compressor brackets & the like, so you may have to be creative. The SC12 chargers are only a couple hundred bucks, so I suggest getting one & start by working out where & how to hang it off your motor, so the SC pulley lines up with the rest of your pulleys.

running 10psi through a stock G13 carbie is not going to be as easy as you might think. Converting the carbie to cope will not be a fun job. I do know a guy that has put vitara G16 injection onto his G13 and blown it with a tiny supercharger off of a jap spec subaru sherpa 660cc engine. Not sure on the chargers specs but this thing is in his Sierra and easily smokes up 33" tyres.

thanks guys, that helps me alot considering i had the model number of an engine rather than the bloody supercharger.

any other mods that can be done on a tight budget other than the supercharger, extractors, 2.5" exhaust and 15" alloys (brakes and suspension soon as well) which have already taken most of my budget?

also how hard and how much am i looking at paying for the supercharger to be fitted? as im not the kind of person that would like to take on that job myself (im a computer technician not a mechanic or any kind what-so-ever!)

regards

If you are not mechanically mided at all then this is going to be an extremely expensive exercise for you better off buying a new car with a turbo motor already in it or something similar

thats for the flaming there folks.

just because im not mechanically minded doesnt mean i shouldnt be allowed to do something like this, it just means im putting in some more research time before i go putting the car under a wrench.. not my wrench either, someone thats qualified to do so.

regards..

we aren't trying to stop you from modifying your car, simply mentioning that without being able to do the work yourself, such a job would end up costing a lot of money. So much in fact that it would make better financial sense to buy a car that already goes fast.

That said, don't let it stop you mate! It's never stopped me! Very Happy
