18R-G Ported Head

Im considering working an 18R-G head.
Port
Polish
Combstion Chamber finishing
Decking
Valve Job
CC'ing Comb Chambers
Resetting all the shim clearances
etc etc etc
Im not sure WHY i want to do it, but i had a look at a head the other day, and thought it'd be a bit of fun to do over.
I dont have any plans EVER to do anything with an R series engine, so was wondering if anyone had any plans with an 18R-G who might benefit from my working a head?? IE: maybe youve got an engine build underway, and I could do the head for you?? Dunno what i'd charge, bascially cost plus a bit of extra fat, but nothing serious...
just wnted to see if anyone had any thoughts on this
cheers

Well i might.... actually
I have a 100% condition 18R-GU in the celica now (88250 head) but i have a spare im kinda trying to sell which is a motor with the 88253 head (biggest valves and ports, double valve sprung - THE head to work on) which im sure would respond to some dremel work. Heck i even have a spare 88250 head.....
Perhaps PM me or gimme a call and we might be able to sort something out
A worked 88253 head would be worth a mint and would certainly perform nicely!

Witzl: I'm still interested in that head! Does this mean you want to keep it now?

Sorry to butt in - I'm buying a reconditioned milled 22RE head w/ +1mm SS OS valves fitted, and am considering doing a mild porting job myself on it. Just have to buy a dremel-like tool (actual Dremel brand looks pretty exensive). A friend is going to email me some pics of his ported 22RE head to help me when it next comes off.
Any tips on what dremel-like tool to buy, or alternatively, anyone win the Melb/Vic area with a bit more expereince who'd be interested in doing it instead?

yeah ed - no worries, ill put together a PM shortly with all the details i can think of And ill surely give you a call this week, maybe even tomorrow.
Norbie - It will be waiting here for you whenever you are in town (dyno day?). Just let me know! One thing about it tho. One of the camshafts is missing (someone silly threw it out! ) and they had been reground and the valves had been reshimmed to suit! And being the 88230 cams they were the longer duration cams also! Bit of a bummer, but can be solved. Other than that the head is PERFECT. looks like it has NEVER been used since the reworking. Oh and valves are stainless 45/37mm items.

On the RGs you only have
to port the intake side. the Exh flows more
than enought.
The RG has the same size exh valve as the
small block ford and the port size on the
RG is way bigger then the sm blk Ford.
By the way you can use sm blk Ford vales in a RG
