i got beaten by a shitty old commodore i am not a happy chappy. i went to have a bit of a go off the lights but because the new motor only has 350 ks on it i didnt want to push it to hard. and the cam timing needs to be fiddled with a bit. but im still not happy !!!!!! friggen old shitboxes
anyone else have simmilar experiences.
before the rebuild would have flogged the crap out of it.

Where was it, and was it an old shitty yellow sedan with a young bloke driving with a loud stereo? Plus he drove flat strap all the time?
But don't worry. I wouldn't bother killing a new engine just to beat an old shitbox either. Run it in properly.

hehe - just rereading old posts - and nods your 18 ArGee needs cam work 
Smiles the boot along the straight we had on the cruise sorta proved this - as my old 2-Teetowel was able to keep up with you Heh - maybe the ra40 and mine should go on the quarter one day at an upcoming celica club event

Gotta hate that...nothing wrong with excels 
Though i'm bias coz i have a 91 excel as my current ride 
I wish i had somthing better but i cant afford anything else at the moment(just moved) and it was free 
So maybe next holidays i can sell it and snatch somthing more decent up quickly.
If it makes you feel any better i smoked off a HJ premier the other day in it  Probably had somthing to do with the weight factor(how much does a wagon full of bogens weigh?? )
