1JZ question?

just wondering about the 1JZ turbos... can they hold 14psi each or can they only hold 7psi.. ive read that once u go past 14psi they tend to screw up... so when u boost the 1JZ to 14psi are the turbos running at 7psi each?
what i was thinking is... is it possiable to run seprate bleed valves for each turbo and run them at say... 10psi each?
thats if they can handle 14psi each and not just 7psi.
its got me stumped... but its just a thing i had been thinking about for a while... so a explanation would be great
thanks
Pete

Each turbo produces 14 PSI, It is the volume that is increased by twinning the turbos.
Theoretcally
Think of it like this, if you put 3 CT12's on a 1JZ and ran 14 psi, for the same pressure (14psi) the turbos would put out a third more air.
The reason this is theory is because it depends on way to many varibles to be this simple.

so if u were to plug both wastegate lines together then put a boost guage on the single line it would read 28psi right?
im probably wrong...
just slap me now

You're wrong.
*slap*
You're confusing pressure with airflow. Both turbos compress the air to the same pressure, but each only delivers half the airflow.

that's why when you get something monstrous like a t-88, and put 15 psi though it, it trashes the crap out of tiny turbos running 20+psi.
it's compressing the air less, but it is moving a *lot* more of it, due to the diameter of the pipes etc
