Been trying to get a new alternator for my RA65....Not having much luck........can someone tell me what other toyota`s used the same alternator???

it depends as to which engine you have in you celica as to what alternator. If its a 22r-e then on off an 90-96 hilux with 22r is the same i believe.

The alternator on mine went over Christmass. I went from wrecker to wrecker looking for one but no luck. I found one from a ST162 that is the same make (ND), same physical size, same plugs on the back and bolts up no problems. I think this alternator puts out more power than the stock unit, about 2-3 volts.
Don't even bother going to an auto electrician. They wanted about $250 to renew mine. Bought the above one for $70.00

Let me state the difference in what you get - $250 vs $70
$70 - secondhand unit, 0 to 3 months warranty, unknown history or age, could last 2 days or 2 years, really just a lucky dip as to how long it will last.
$250 - Completely overhauled unit, 12 months garantee should last aproxx 150000kms or more.
If reliability is a concern your better of getting it done right. The wreckers do test them before they go out(if they don't they should) but that doesn't mean they will stop working next week. on the other hand it could go for 3 years.

Couldn`t get my hands on a new one, and i refuse to buy anything from a wrecker,(all arseholes with attitudes)....Ended up going to a auto elec ,got mine rebuilt for $120 with 12 month warranty.
