does anyone know what igniter i can use for a 2tge? are all 4 cylinder ones pretty much the same or do they have different specs?

Send Pumpkin a PM he has one on his 2TGEU and can prolly read the part number off it no worries. Otherwise a trip to the local wreckers will yield one for you. These things new are generally bloody expensive

21R-C igniters work fine - just change the plug to the dizzy over to suit. This is assuming your 2TG is an earlier one. Very last 2TGs had a different set up, but if you look inside the dizzy, and there is only one black pick-up thingy (technical terms), it will work fine. I had a dizzy with the pick-up and another black modual in it, which I couldn't get working so I put an earlier dizzy in (mine is a 1983 motor, efi). Good luck.
