SSS broken

just found out about a mate of mine's miracle escape in his N13 SSS.
he was rolling along with 4 ppl in the car up the top of Springwood RD in Springwood in Logan and came upto a roundabout on the corner of Dennis RD, went thru at 110K
clipped the roundabout, went up onto its side, slid like that, dug into the median strip and started barrel rolling, it a 1 foot thick tree and snapped it in 2, apparently got massive air and landed on its roof and stopped, the 3 other ppl were perfect, he had a grazed forearm and a fractured wrist. VERY lucky considering he smashed all the glass in the car.

i believe so, as i haven't seen him yet.
maybe my mates should stay away from those things, another mate had one absolutely identical, came around a corner in the rain and stomped it {viscous LSD FWD} torque steered into a commodore head on,
to put that car in neutral he needed to put it in 5th, as the box and linkages had been rooted.
the one who crashed it on the roundabout he had full compo, the other one in the rain had 3rd party

Did that just happen today? I heard on the radio that there had been a really bad accident in the Sunnybank area so dunno if that were them ...
Good thing though that they all survived ... you'd be a more careful driver in future.

no saturday night, it was springwood, across highway from Moss St.
not really surprising tho, he has driven like a dick for 3 years solid, he reckoned he was the shit, surprising the other 3 didn't drop him, they were apparently all Kung-Fu masters of the place he had recently joined

luckily no one was hurt
sounds like your mate is a complete dickhead driving like that
people like that should NEVER get behind a wheel...if i play silly buggers i make sure that i'm alone in the car and its on open roads where i can see properly...not dingy lit back streets with a car full of people

Your mate sounds like a w%^ker. I hope this makes him wake up to himself and he should be grateful he didn't kill anyone. Tell him if he is such a hero then take it to the track. Maybe someone will notice his driving skills out on a track, or more realistically he can drive for shit

Right on, there are two ways I drive, when I'm on my own and when there are passengers in the car. The term "drive defensively" doesn't even come close when I have a friend in the car. I don't want any deaths of passengers on my concience...(do taxi drivers feel the same though? )

definitly not
I've had taxi drivers nearly kill me both ways :\
I mean, I still drive fast when I have people in the car, but I drive at a speed where I feel certain I could avoid any possible acciden (hence defensive driving I guess)

if anyonw knows of this roundabout, u would know what 110k would do.
luckinly for him the road is massive the road is 2.5 times wider than normal, and thats just 1 way too, then a 10-15m wide median strip and then the other side of the road, as its an upmarket neighbourhood the land big and the houses are set way back, maybe he'd have landed in someones yard if it had've been a standard road.
i wouldn't be game to go thru the roundabout at 50 or 60, but these things handle rather well,
1 other things he's done 200kph down the M1 in brissy from the gateway to M1 merge at Mt gravatt ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way to beenleigh {15 or so k's} with 5 freaking ppl, IN A PULSAR, i think the dick wants a S13 180SX SR20DET now
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This guy sounds like a nut on the road. N13's are a pretty small car. Lucky know one was hurt and does this guy still have his drivers licence.

Come one guys, Mr SSS sounds like a pretty professional driver.
Like if I tried that, I would have had a major bad a55 mother ducker crash, and killed everyone including myself in the car.
He should be awarded for attempting such a speed through a roundabout and actually not killing anyone.
Yay Mr SisSisSis!

i went and had a look at the crash site in day time the other day, FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLL,
he actually ripped 2 25cm thick trees clean out of the ground and snapped one of them too and landed in a ditch upside down,
anyone in brissy go and see the roundabout and imagine 110kph thru there, he was going along springwood road so dennis road was coming up on HIS left

sounds like a dick head to me...
ive taken a round about at like 110 before... but it was a pretty big round about... and the celica went thru it with ease...
BUUUUT
it was 2 am. {no other traffic}
i was alone in the car
i know that perticular round about very well and as i go thru it at least 2 times a day. to work and from work.
id never do it with anyone else in the car.. its just stupid to put ur friends life at risk like that just to " show off "
i say if he was any sort of driver he should indeed take it to the track

Can someone get some pics please! Whats his name? Is it a red sss? with no plate "MRSSS" yeah give him his whole new silvia/ 180sx..see if he can go through at 120 next time without hitting anything... Id like to see the pics of the car for a laugh...its a shame because its idiots like this are the ones that make the cops and govt create hopeless road rules and unnecessary traffic calming..

Tell ur mate he is a right royal tool, and that he needs to stay off the road. Hopefully this accident wakes him up, somehow by the sounds of things it wont, hes probably boasting how he flipped his car, thinking hes a sick knt now.
Idiot.

I'm so glad to hear most people are thinking just like I do.
I have never done anything silly in a car with mates. I have 2 loving parents and it would kill them to hear if I was injured in a car accident so I know there are other parernts the same. I couldn't live with myself if I knew i'd hurt or even worse killed a mate.
I won't get in the car with some of my friends now for the reason I don't want to be killed. I value life too much. It makes it really difficult when WANKERS like that are out there. If he didn't crash into the roundabout he might have then lost it 500m up the road and crashed into a family...and put more lives at risk.
I had the nickname grandpa at highschool cause i'd drive slow (speed limit) when we went for drives at lunch time. Either that or it was the Cressida...
A mate of mine just got his P's (23 years old) and bought a $1500 Holden Astra with no brakes and dodgy tyres. Day he got his P's he picked me up and we went to Byron for a swim...140-150 the whole way even after repeted times I told him to slow down. If you know the roads around Byron you know that isn't safe. I caught a bus back home.

yeah i know a few guys that think their geminis, commodores and other assorted cars are built to be raced, its bloody scary being a passenger in one of those cars. One guy i knew in highschool even bought a "12 sec" vl turbo, wet weather boost is 17psi, he floors it in traffic just to hit boost, go sideways and scare other people. he loves it, but i just hope he doesnt kill or maim anyone else when he finds out that cars have limitations.
