cam timing of 18RG	Tue, 06 May 2003 13:49

I have an 18RGU engine as some may know u can change the cam timing somewhat, what exactly does this do. i.e. what does retarding the intake do what does advancing the intake do ect ect [Report message to a moderator]

try it and find out i think if you retard it a lil it might go better.. but im not sure.. try it [Report message to a moderator]

Intake timing normally doesnt make too much of a difference. Exst timing does however... Adv gives low end torqe. Retarding gives high end hp. [Report message to a moderator]

if you have a stock RG I wouldn't change the cam timing to much. you may take out a valve. by changing the timing you gain 1 to 5 hp. [Report message to a moderator]
