The 1G uses a distributor...don't know what they were smoking if they said the CAS is on the blink. Are all the injectors plugged in right?

the fuel rail is getting fuel... just not getting into the injectors... so u think it could be the grounding of some of the wires ??

I think what Craig means is that the fuel pump is working so the fuel rail is full, but the injectors aren't being opened cos its not getting a signal from the AFM.

1. Does it have spark? No spark = no injector pulse.
2. Make sure the ecu is receiving a cranking signal. (12 volts on STA AND NSW during cranking)
3. If that is all ok get someone with a scope to check both IGf signals back to the ecu. I've had the experience where there was spark BUT one of the confirmation signals droped out due to a faulty ignitor.

Yup I had the same problem as Grant was mentioning. Only it was a damaged connector to the ignitor.
I have a spare Gen 2 ignitor you can try out if you want. I think the Gen 3's are different.

GRANT - whats your number ? Can I call you to ask for advise ? We've got spark, power to injectors, but no earth signal to open the injectors.
What color are the wires I should be tracing and where to and where from?
We've taken the computer to Petroject and it's ok. So its not a computer problem...
Thanks man !!!
GOLDRA28 - Can I get that ignitor off you to test if it works ?? When are you free so I can get it off you ? If you dont mind.

For what it's worth my number is 0409 572904. If you definitely have no injector pulse I suspect a wiring problem or a faulty igniter. It would take less than 10 mins for Jim to test the ignitor signal and probably only an hour or two to trace a wiring fault (depnding on how well it was done in the first place). My advice is spend the relatively small amount of $$$ and get Jim to check it out. You'll only be chasing your tail otherwise.

No idea how happy I am !!!!
The new internal VL turbo fuel pump we installed was faulty therefore not enough pressure was going through !!!
Let this be a lesson to all !!!!
JUST BECAUSE IT IS NEW, DOES NOT MEAN IT WON'T BE THE PROBLEM !!!!
Always check what EVERYTHING you touched/changed to solve your problem !
