FS- Apex suspension suit MZ20/21, GZ20, JZA70, GA70, MA70 Thu, 08 May 2003 05:42 Go to next message
I have the following set of damper adjustable suspension to suit the above mentioned cars. Has Apex springs on each but I dont know what the rates are of them. Havent had them in my car as I have ElSport coilovers in it. One of the rears appears to have a very slight oil mist on it, as can be seen from the pic. Could do with a check over I suggest. Asking $500 for the lot.

If I hadn't just bought a set of kg/mm springs for my GZ20 (with 1JZ conversion) I would of bought these of you straight away!

I am still interested though. Are they on the way out?

Do you have any of GZ20 parts? Everything is so hard to come by.
Would you know if it is easy for myself to put my springs into my car?

Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of car do you have?

one requires some attention which shouldnt cost more then $120 or so by a capable shock reconditioner. It has a very light oil mist on the leg which I assume is from the shock itself. Lots of other places for it to come from but better to be safe then sorry as its a pain changing the rears over, pulling the back seat out etc.

Fitting the springs isnt too hard to do, so long as you have some sort of mechanical aptitude. The rears require the rear seat to be removed, and the parcel shelf cover. They are then not too hard to extract without removing other components. The fronts benefit from removing the bolt through the upper A arm which again is not too hard to do. Buy a set of spring compressors though as it makes things a little safer, or ensure you have a bit of room if you are going to do it my way, which is to place a firm foot on the spring then use a rattlegun to undo the top nut. Things tend to fly around a little but its a damn sight quicker.

Not a great deal of GZ/MZ20 performance stuff but if you are interested I can track down some items. Not much in japan for these cars sadly. I got an intercooler for mine the other week, 100mm thick job made for an MA70. I also have a soarer but its an MZ20 model with a worked 7M manual (converted myself)

I also have a wagon with a heavily modified 1GGTE
