Standard RA65,...what g'box?

I have a friend who blew his g'box last night and wants to know what g'box he has...
he has a manual ra65 with the 2.4l efi...
any help would be greatly appreciated.

a getrag box? 
the w58 is a fairly sought after box, but you should have no troubles finding a w57 at pick n payless or something

Yeah, $2-300 should score you a W57 which ain't expensive IMO.

Check the vin plate on the firewall. The gearbox code will be there.
BTW I have a factory w55/f372 combo (3.9) in my ra65.

Yeah, either W55, W57, or W58.
