thanks for replying
$400 splits are too good, Juzzo
SupraBoy - do you have the tweeters for sale? I'm thinking about getting some Jaycar 6.5" kevlar woofers, but would need tweeters to go with them

Jaycar also sell tweeters. $55 a pair. Cat code: CS-2210
And crossovers. $13.50 a pair. Cat code CX-2640.
I don't mind giving Jaycar a plug cause I have bought some sound gear for my car from there and it has all been great. Like anything though, the cheapest stuff they have is pretty crappy. ie $7.50 a pair tweeters.!!! I wouldn't touch these with a 50 foot pole! i bought a 12in sub from them, 200WRMS, 2 years and 2 blown amps later it's still going!

I'd really like to know what their $200 splits are like. The kevlar woofers in them, they had a batch made with the wrong glue that they were selling for $20 each (just the woofers) that apparently sold out in 3 days. I found a supplier that must have bought a heap of them, said he could sell me a pair for 44+16 postage.
I have some Motorolla supertweeters (the oens jaycar USED to sell) lying around, and some crossovers, but I'm not sure how these or the ones they sell now will compare with the soft textile dome tweeters in the split set. I've always thought peizo tweeters were a bit harsh. My current speakers have silk dome tweetrs, and they sound lovely.

Are they 6" or 6.5"? Do you have the tweeters to go with them? I will probably go with the Jaycars, but give me a model number or something and I will research yours first.
Juzzo, no need to apologise!
