As GT say's, get a shorter belt. I run A/C but no P/S. My alternator sits where my P/s pump was originally and my A/c is rotated downwards and the mounts cut and welded.
Works a treat. You are going to put 5 or 6 kilos over the front wheels for nothing??
If you do make sure you gut the pump, the bearing for the front pulley runs on a machined boss on the front of the pump. Therefore there is no use fo all the rods/pistons and cams in the pump.
If it is not sealed it will seaze up after a while anyway.

it doesn't mater if the compressor itself is seized just as long as the idle bearing isn't siezed. The idle bearing on a compressor can be easily replaced too.
You can strip the internals to save weight if you really wanted too. The extra weight will really do nothing to your car handeling or performance wise.

Sure. Just that you don't actually need it to act as a pulley wheel at all, unless of course you one day intend to run A/C.
I am running PS and NO A/C pump on my 2JZGE (I'd imagine the pulley locations are similar on a 1J). I needed to make a spacer that was essentially a 25mm long piece of steel pipe to fit where the A/C pump would have sat. I ended up using a 6PK1860 (original 6PK1940 I think) belt but I'd recommend the 1840.
It's just one less thing to clutter up your engine bay. Up to you, of course.

ok, my mechanic said he could either make a bracket up and change some shit (can't remember exactly) or he said it would be easier to fit a PS pump because there would be no tention on the main 'thingy' in the middle that pivots. i can try and get a pic to show what i mean if it would help?
thanks for the input
