I have been looking at a BOV for my 3tg. It runs about 12 psi, I am not to sure what to buy, I just want one that works that is not to expensive, doesn't have to sound good or look great. Any suggestions?

Go the bosch one from a Saab.
Got one on my supra and with the filter pod it even sounds better than most after market venting ones.
What also makes it better is that the cops can't do shit about it.

I agree with Helmann.
The Bosch ones really are quite loud with a air pod. Except if they make the hooting noise, that can get annoying.
Helmann does yours make that noise? Mine hardley ever does it, but then a mate of mine has the same Soarer and BOV and his is really loud.. He made his piping a little different though, so I 'm wondering if it has anything to do with the piping...

Mine does not hoot. Never heard one hoot yet.
I basically just used the same piping i had before with a reducer for the size inside.
Mine does not make such a harsh sound either like most after market ones.

Quoted from supras.co.uk:
Manufactured by Bosch: #0 280 142 103
Say: "I need a Compressor Overpressure Valve for a 1996 SAAB 9000 Turbo."
Inspect the valve, the Bosch MFG # will be embossed on it.
The SAAB part number may differ, so try not to confuse the parts guy.

What do yall think about the GFB Stealth BOV?
I was thinking of getting one of these - once my 1JZGTE was been engineered and passed The Pits. I like the idea of it's full adjustability bedtween plumb-back and atmo venting - and everything inbetween. Haven't tried it out - or any other BOVs for that matter. It is kinda pricey, but sounds like a good idea.
What do you folks with turbos (and BOVs) think?

i personally dont think bov/s are a neccesaty unless you are running very big boost... it will make a flutter noise but it wont damage your turbop if you are only running low boost applications.. i took mine off cause i didnt really need it on plus i like the flutter noise.. but yeah i reckon the gfb stealth would be good on the 1jz
