Does anyone know where to get cheap chroming done? Sun, 18 May 2003 06:40 Go to next message
Hey,
just wondering if anyone knows or works at a shop that does chroming, and for a good price?? Id be looking to get a set of ra28 bumpers re-dipped.. Anyone in the business? im sure i could get a few other mates to get their classic bumpers re-dipped all at once if it made it cheaper..

go to www.whitepages.com.au and look up 'Delway Brass' in Edwardstown

This business is in my family, I have sent loads of mates there for this sort of thing and people are ALWAYS impressed with their work.

They also do powdercoating, i just had a 13B mazda air filter assembly done and it looks better than when it came out of the factory.

Everything will be done at a good price as well.

Hey just before i took my car off the road my front bar was damaged just slightly, but this put it out of shape completely and split the centre at the top, it depends a lot on if the bumpers have been repaired before.
cos if they are still original then u may be able to get them fixed up but it is a VERY costly process, and its much more worthwhile finding a set that are straight.. Even getting straight rusty ones re-dipped will end up cheaper probably because when they straighten the f*cked ones they'll re-dip them anyway. So u may as well find some straighter ones and do what u can with them cos not heaps of places will do this sorts of repairs any more unless u wanna pay them lot of $$$$$$$$.

I know that a few weeks ago Sleeka Spares had an Immaculate front bar for ~$150 and a couple that were almost perfect.. Not sure if they have rears??

Hey man,
We got a ding in our rear chrome perfect bumper from a 4WD No big dent, but enough to really notice.
Went to Adelaide Bumper Exchange, cost about $180 to get dent straightened if its not too bad and rechromed. Not a bad price I reckon for a beautiful new straight bumper rechromed!
We havn't done it yet, but probably gonna soon. If we do will let you know how it ends up. Give em a try.
