A good jigsaw with the right blade will cut it but you must keep it well lubricated while cutting , a light oil will do .

I've cut 5mm with a jigsaw and I'll agree that it does suck. A sabre-saw is a much better bet, but, not cheap...

Ive got 6mm sheet alu here that i cut bits from quite often with a normal jigsaw and steel blade.
If i go slow, i find i have no problems... just takes time.

We used chippies circular saw to cut the flat edges on 8mm. The rest was done with a jigsaw with metal blades. Its loud, creates heaps of al dust and we snapped a heap of them, but its the only way we had of doing it.
Finished it off with a rasp, then a file. Takes time, looks trik!

use jigsaw, bandsaw or mill for complex shapes. titanium is welded in a gas shield{contained gas tent}. very few people do it or i should say have much experiance with it.

A proper metal band saw is much better than a jig saw. Alternatively find someone with a mill and do it properly.
I think titanium needs to be tig welded.

Cant use a metal jigsaw blade on alloy it will just gall
Use a woodcutting blade in the jigsaw
Same as cutting sheet use a hand saw for wood it will cut it like butter and wont damage the saw as alloy is softer than wood
when drilling holes with a hole saw drill some holes around the circle the saw will cut for the shavings to disappear down

I cut out my Scorpion's (last car) aluminium from 1.6mm checkerplate with a wood blade in a jigsaw. The project was to make a false-floor in the boot. Pics available on request. Take it slow and it does the job just fine. A LOT of aluminium splinters though.
My latest project (a 3mm thick checkerplated bashplate) I also did with the same tools, except it just took a bit more time to do. I know what 10mm aluminium is like, so I'd suggest using maybe a high-tensile hacksaw blade? Or like others have suggested - get it done at a laser-cutting place.

I've cut plenty of Aluminium with a jigsaw. I use metal blades, and keep spraying the blade with CRC or WD40. If you stop spraying it, it will clog the blade and break it. When you give the blade a spray, you can feel the saw take off. Like a hot knife through butter.
