I was wondering what kind of budget brake upgrade I could do on my ke30 corolla.
atm its completly stock.
can i fit bigger disc's and or calipers.or should i just get a whole strut assembly off another car? ie ke70????
I want to do this as cheap as possible so no aftermarket parts(just bits i can get from a wrecker)
any help would be great.

TA22 strut assembly bolts in, jus need to modify contorl arm (slightyly), cressida discs (10.5") and standard callipers is MOORE than enough stopping power for a ke30. This is the setup that was in my old GZE ke30, and with metal pads and this setup it stopped VERY VERY well!. (keeping the standard callipers meant no change to booster etc.)
By standard calipers I would imagine standard TA22 ones? Are the TA22 discs vented to start?
I have XT130 struts and standard calipers, discs on mine, and it pulls up very well. Non-vented disc though, but I've never overheated them (with my slowbie 4K).
Any idea if the Cressida discs will fit over the XT130 axle stubs? What about the calipers? Will they bolt onto XT130 struts? I roughly measured the mounting bolts on one of them (I was in a hurry) and it appeared to be 90mm as well...
Or I could go with the Pug & Hilux conversion... But I've just gotten new brake pads and rebuilt my calipers so I don't see that happening anytime soon...
