Hi guys,
Quick question, I do realise its probably been done before but I can never get the right info out of the forum search.
The ae86 standard toyota LSD(6.7"?), (I've never looked at one)
Are they the same size center as the Aus. one?
Can you fit an LSD center into an Aus one? Can the discs be retrofitted in place of drums?
I'm asking because a mate has on of these (LSD) which has been converted to have leafe springs fitted.
I rang around and its upwards of 3-400 to have the diff converted back to my coil spring plates.
Any knowledge or help would be appreciated,
Cheers
Will

Will I have a ta27 that has an ae86 differential and the disc brakes mounted on the ta27 rear axle carrier. The differential was a direct swap the axles had to be shortened 40 thousandsth each but afterwards fit right in. The disc brake conversion I did is on classic-celica.com under the tech section. If you have any questions let me know. It is really quite easy. good luck Greg
