Boost guage fitment? Sun, 25 May 2003 06:26 Go to next message
My stereo has just about had the Richard in my Soarer and I have a brand new JVC Kamelian CD player sitting in my old car in the backyard not being used and am keen to put it in my new car. I know the single DIN unit will fit but 1/2 the space will be empty...can I put a boost guage there and maybe one other as well and then make some plate to fill it in?

I think it would look very nice in that spot but I can't remember seeing one ever located there.

Is it possible to do? Will any guages fit in a single din spot?

Yep, it's been done before, and even on a Soarer.

Have a look at Paul Irwin's boost gauge install on the Soarer forums. http://www.alsc.aus.as/

I have been thinking about installing a few gauges in the second din. I already have a boost gauge sitting in my coin pocket, I just hope that its not too big. What are the sizes you guys are using?

Yeah that's what I was going to ask too. What sizes and what brand/ model guages fit best?
