does any one know anybody that can tig weld in newcastle that would be interested in welding my new intercooler pipes at my house as opposed to taking the pipes to them?

Somebody correct me on this, but from memory, TIG welders require 3 phase power, so unless you have the required 3 phase socket, you won't be able to run a TIG unit from home.
There are plenty of welders out there who will do cash in hand jobs in their spare time, it took me the best part of 5 minutes to find a TIG welder, less than 2 minutes walk from where I work, and he charges by the hour not by the job, and his welding is tops

Where abouts in Sydney is this guy you go to. I need to get some stuff welded.
I was going to visit my old TAFE teacher and ask his if I can use the TIG welder for a while.

If in newcastle go try JT Autogas in cardiff. Talk to Jamie and tell him Matt with the black supra sent you. Top Bloke, Top welder and he is just gettting this side of his business started (been a triple tradesman for years - but just getting into performance fabrication), so he will most likely be reasonable $ too.
