I can get this full conversion done for $3000, just asking if its worth it.
So far this is the best bang for buck I have come across, even in comparison to a 1g conversion.
Any thoughts?

FJ20 is a great motor although a little long in the tooth nowadays. Be wary of what this fixed price includes - ask them to stipulate.

i have worked on many fj20s
they are gettin old these days
just look out for dents in sumps which restricks oil pickup
worn and rattly timing chains
theyre a strong motor but abit expensive to rebuild but i think any jap engine is expensive to rebiuld these days

3SGTE > SA63? Seems the logical idea to me...
That said the old FJ20 does have a reputation for being a bit of a dinosaur - old, but a difficult bugger to kill.

For $3k? Do it!
Just make sure that it's a good FJ though, they're pretty old.
Why would it cost more for a 1G if your cousin is doing all the labour though?
Don't know what's involved in an FJ20 swap, but it's gotta be more difficult than a 1G!

Hi
That sounds like a great price for an FJ20ET conversion.
An FJ20ET RA65 would make a great sleeper.
Feel free to check out http://www.fj20.com/ If you like. There are quite a few fj owners on the forum who have a lot of experience with FJ20's and motorsports.
Good Luck with your conversion.
-Regards Mike
