	| ditto I love the look of my ma61 (with aircon and power windows if you must know)
it's very cool, in a "cranky old school" kinda way

 that said, I'm with frank.

give me a mk4 6 speed tt, and I'll be a very happy bunny

	| Old-school for me, but that's mostly because I can't afford anything new (well, nothing decent anyway). I'd love a Mk4 TT 6-speed, but I just can't justify spending that sort of money on any car. So instead I'm trying to build a low-budget version of the Mk4... it will never be as good, but it will certainly be unique!

	| Oh for crying out loud, you guys with mid 80's cars aren't old school!
Old school is like back, way back......

PS I one day hope to own something late model, like an MA61.

	| the ma61 has a cranky old school look about it. I think it's the flares
I know it's not real old school (RA2x), but compared to a nice shiny mk4? hell yes it is

	| As long as it goes good. Give me a 73 Corolla cause it's a classic in it's own way.
A mk 4 Supra twin turbo? yes please.
 An Echo? no thankyou.
A late model Corolla? er no!
An old Corona, Sprinter, T-18 or Celica/Supra or Cressida with more grunt than it ever had a right to have? Sign me up for 2!

	| old school retro for me next time
I still love my ta22's and would Die to have a 3sgte in the engine bay of a ta22 sitting in my garage - BUT it would have to have aircon

I can love without power windows - but if your gunna drive around in a cool car you might as well be extra cool inside

Till then practicality and GtFour-tification will do though i have spied a restored red ta22 in town thats likely to come up for sale soon - Bog stock + original - but Dying for a little tinkering

	| HA! unless your a contortionist - and very clever - it aint gunna happen - think Ta22 rear seat - with bigger bum buckets - and less headroom for rear passengers
and if you have a full size wheel like mine has - as a spare - no HOPE of laying down the seats
Try the bonnet - the intercooler heatsoak from the bonnet vent will keep you warm

	| Yeah, old school I mean 70's and under. 80's like Ma60/70 Supras are like "mid" school hehee. I respect your replies. When magazines had more old than new, I always wanted a RA23 celica, and a MKIV was always a dream since I first saw it in a magazine in 94. But now that most popular magazines have newer cars, my decision has swayed over to new, especially picking up HPI magazine. At least you guys with old, dont follow the "trend" but keep the faith in Old school. I must admit tho, those 280/260Z's are BEUTIFUL! | |

	| Old school - I own 4 and I love them. They aren't commen, people see them and they turn heads because they are something different. They're made of metal and not plastic. I like a car that can rust, not one that can melt! They have a certain charm and personality about them that new cars just don't.
It's my RA23 everyday drive (Jokey's) Birthday this week. 26 years old.

	| Old school for me I've owned new cars and they just don't do it most of them look like little pregnant rice bubbles. The other thing is i get comments and looks all the time and i love it i don't think the satisfaction and individuality would be there if i owned a new car.

	| The old stuff has a heap more class than whats coming out nowdays. Cars now are sterile and too ordinary to be exciting. Thats why people insist on the Rice factor, to try and get their car to look less ordinary. All an old school car needs is nice paint and rims and it looks stunning.
Having said that technology is fantastic, why stuff around with a cantankerous carby and points beast when you can have an new technology engine that has twice the power, is more economic and civilised to drive.

My vote is for Old school class with new school ass.

as a matter of fact, I think Imight use that quote in my signature.

	| Id be hard pressed going back to carbys after having the Gt4 now - efi is wonderful but i REALLY miss the sound of a howling weber on full throttle ..
they do make a quad throttle setup now i see - maybe worth investigating for possible 2tgeu ta22

	| Yep I agree.... I love older cars....
Don't get me wrong but I also love new cars.... but the factories seem to fuck up the cars when they actually go into production ie. the MR-S would be such a great car if it actually came with a stick shift, clutch and the celica engine not this 100 kw BS!!

So I have had to take matters into my own hands with my AE86, well with the assistance of a great mechanic too
However I have had to venture into the dark side a bit to acheive what I want from my first Hatchiroku (DODGY knows what I mean
  )
Its still not finished but hopefully it will be something that I will want to hold onto for quite a while and enjoy blasting around the track!

	| I'm one for the newer cars I guess it's more of a reliability thing that I've got, not saying old cars aren't reliable or anything like that, I've just always swayed towards newer cars as they've got everything in them already... power windows and I can't live without airconditioning anymore Older cars that are nicely modified I've got respect for though, don't get me wrong | |

	| 80's cars do it for me, a mix of old school and new school, so u get the best of both worlds. I can't actually choose which i like better, i love both old and new for different reasons.
