Just wondering if there was any differences between the diffs behind automatics and manuals? I know they are all called T292's but somewhere along the line i heard the ratio's were different in the auto's...

The 292 part of T292 is the ratio. They may all be T-series, but they are more than likely a different number after that. If you're sure they are all T292, then they are all the same ratio.

there were some different Ratio's around but you won't find em in a xA2x Celica.
Firstly ALL T292 are 4.1:1 Thats what the 29 Part means. The last 2 refers to the number of pinion Gears inthe centre. (Well thats F#*cked.. I Thought we had this as an article inthe Tech section ! ... Have to fix that ! )
The TA22 had the Option of a 4.3:1 for the Auto but you had to request it and basically no bastard did as they are Rare as !
A 3.9:1 can be found in most old coronas and the 3.7:1 can be found under some T-18's
Any diff that starts with a T and ends with a 2 will fit (Ie Txx2,) the T series LSD centres use shorter axels, not that your likely to find one of those anyway.
