that could be a bit of trouble...
if you can get a photo that would help a lot.
fwiw, the hydraulic slave might be further down the bellhousing than the cable setup and so with some fancy lines you might clear the tie-rods..
if you can email me a pic at stewie@unsw.edu.au, i'll see what can be come up with...

anyone?
so far it has been sugested that i move the engine back...
which is a no go because it is almost touching the firewall as it is an the class it will be racing in u cant cut the firewall to fit anything in....
other sugestion is to move the fork 50mm up, which requires a little fabricating on my part (a world first for me :/) got all the tools thats not the problem... i guess i could get a spare housing to screw around with...
any more easier ideas ?

Is it only hitting on or near full lock if so could you get away with adjusting the full lock stop to stop getting as much lock in that direction.

a couple of things..
from the pics it looks like you could move the makeshift mount up a bit... is the cable between the mount and the fork horizontal?, if not move it up and that will give ya a little more...
also what is space like on the passenger side of the gearbox? you could just change the engine mounts a bit to move the whole engine/gearbox across to the passenger side.... even 1cm will give you a lot more turning
anothe roption again is to tile the engine toward the passeneger side a bit more to rotate the makeshift mount higher...
hmm, so i reckon if the makeshift mount is not horizontal, make it so (or a little higher) then take off the motor mounts and unbolt the gearbox mount and shift the engine (with pulley or hoist ) around a bit to try and get more space there... you should have 10 or 15mm to play with at least...
if you were in sydney i'd offer to bring it around and we could weld then mounts up then and there..... doh..
good luck,

I agree, try and move the bracket up. Shouldn't make to much difference, but you may need to adjust the cable to get the correct amount of travel again.
Do you have any other pics of the car?

it's a funny one on a KE10.. you can actually see it in the first three pics that you put up...
in the third picture, look directly above and a little to the right of the tie rod end. see that bolt and nut??? from memory (it's a little dark to get under the car) the bolt hed stops the pitman/idler arm travel toward the centre of the car, and this is how full lock is adjusted
btw, if you ever want to sell that KE15 body, let me know
