Hey how's it goin?
Well probably the easiest and cheapest(but also the least powerfull)of any conversion in that car, would be putting in a 5k corolla engine( from a ke70 i think?)
Then you could consider any of the 4ag series engines from the 86kw version to the supercharged 4agze version,
depending on how much u want to spend.
Will u be doing the work on the car or will you be getting someone to fit it for u?
At the moment im considering a carby turbo conversion on the 3k in my ke30 so thats also an option for you to consider.
hope this helps anyway.

Hey mate,
Hows it going? What sort of turbo setup are you considering putting on your 3k engine? It would make things interesting, and is also something for me to consider. I think most of the work will be best left to the professionals in my case. I was considering a 4agze engine as an option, because I am not too keen on turbos (sorry guys ) What other mods have you done to youe KE30?

I was considering the 2T-G, as it was the engine used in the similar models of Corollas in the US and Japan, and fabricating new mounts for it seems relatively easy (in theory), it seems to be the straightforward choice with reliability to boot, as well.
Any oother engine ideas are still welcomed, thanks

out of the two (2tg and 4-age) i would rather install the 2tg, because there is less fabrication involved, and it is more suited to the corolla's age and genre, which is important, as I want to keep with the 'old school' theme.
Now all i have to do is buy the car

The 2t/2tg engine is the easiest swap! Ive done this conversion with a 2t into a ke30 twice. You use the celica mounts and they bolt straight up to the corolla cross member. I used the celica 5 speed with the cross member and just drilled new holes in the g/box cross member that matched up with a set of bolt holes in the chassis. I am pretty sure the tailshaft is a (ke16 or 10) wagon tailshaft with celica/corolla uni joints. The hardest part is probably changing to a hydraulic clutch but there are spare bolts in the firewall that can be used with a bit of mucking around with the pedals.
I was running extractors and two inch exhaust and it surprised quite a few people. I have since blown the engine . But have now recond an engine and bought a manifold, to4 turb and weber to fit so once i get back into the shed i will have to put this package together for some fun!!! Hope I could be of some help! if you need any more info just email me and I will try and get it for u.
Ben
