All these questions have been covered many times in the Tech and Conversion section. Do a quaick search and most things should be answered.
quick answers are:
20V or GZE - personal preference. GZE had the power, 20V is easier on the insurance.
Engeinering - call Regency and get the low down from the horses mouth. Get it right the first time and all legal, the cops cant defect you.

We'll sort you out sonny. Don't you worry about that.
Soon people will see a Sprinter come sliding sideways out of some mad corners with people shouting 'THERE'S THAT GUY!!'
I am still finding info on costs for you buddy.

a 4age and gze are easier conversions then a 20v, as its very hard to use the 20v computer..
the distributor bang up against the firewall and you have to make up your own inlet plenum you'll..
thats just to begin with..then you have to work out how your going to run the heater hoses and water pump...

Oh well. Leighton, we will have to hook up a GZE for you. I will speak to Scott about his conversion. I think it was done fairly cheaply for the supercharged 4AGZE.
I will let you know champ.

As mentioned by m113a1, the 20v conversion is really costly to do. If you just want to have fun and have reasonable power get the 16v 4age.
To avoid bashing the firewall mine had coil packs and an aftermarket computer. All costly things. The wiring loom was custom and so were alot of the brackets, Some donered from the 16v RWD GE's. Then the custom water pipe work. I had to pour alot of dollars to get everything perfect.
Your best bet is to get a 4agze or 4age conversion. THey are cheap parts are still a plenty and you will hav eless headaches.
Cheers
Patric
PS. Seems like you have a had a few offers here on getting a gze in. I suggest you explore these avenues.
