I want to get a 2.5 TT soarer, but need some info.. can someone tell me what suspension system the soarer runs ?
Ive been told many things...hydraulics on the V8 version so it's fully adjustable..
'Fully electric' suspension for the 2.5 TT model ? WTF
Was there ever an an option to get the 2.5 TT model with adjustable suspension ?
Can someone PLEASE explain.. im so lost !!
I just want to know what susp. the lex TT2.5 runs because I intend to dump it on it's guts... so if it came with adjustable suspension, I do not want to be fcking with the set up.
THanks soarer heads !

we had one of the v8's come into work the other day, the front right suspension setup had colapsed on its self as it was punctured and end up costing the owner about $750 to replace the parts, and then about $200 labour!!!! not a cheap item to replace by any means.

2.5TT Soarer comes in 2 suspension flavours:
Standard coilovers (non-adjustable)
TEMS coilovers (adjustable damper via switch in cabin)
Many imported ones have aftermarket suspension (like mine) and some are adjustable.
My Soarer came with adjustable KYB coilovers and APEXi springs.

The soarers with the TMS... can I still lower the car i.e. change springs shocks etc or do I need genuine toyo parts ?

You can replace the TEMS suspension with regular coilovers. You'll just lose the ability to change damper settings from within the cabin.

ok so if i want to dump it on its guts, just get new springs and shocks and rip it out as per usual... the TEMS does not really come into play then ?
or should i just get a model with no TEMS ? to avoid complications?

As you suggest, TEMS doesn't come into play when changing ride height with aftermarket or modified springs - it's only of significance if you want to retain the novelty of electronic switching of stock shock rebound rates but you really want to go aftermarket shocks or adjustable coilovers.

Simple answer Les:
Get either (TEMS or non-TEMS) TT. Just rip out whatever is in there, and fit coilovers. Easy done. It's not a hard task for either model car since they are both coilovers essentially.
