I am adding white faces to the guages in my ra28 but was wondering if there is a younger car with t he same speedo and tacho fittings. I have a boost guage and it has a little orange perspex needle that glows when you turn the lights on, it just looks a lot newer and alot brighter. I was wondering if there was a newer car with those style guages and I could swap from??
I guess they only need to be able to plugged into my w58.
After thinking about it, I guess any supra one would fit? I suppose it has to do with diff ratios or something? are supra guages round?

how did the instrument cluster swap go ?... I'd very intrested to here your ideas on upgrading the slightly lacking RA28 version....
what sort of management are you running for the 1g, does this interfere with anything in the dash...
i hear your the fella to talk about when rigging up tacho etcs.... would that be a fair assumption.. ?

wow eh? a bit of a reputation or something?? all I managed to do was adjust the original tacho to work with the 6-cyl engine, all you need is a reference point.
As for the 1g it's not in the car atm and it is bog stock.
I haven't done any instrument cluster conversions, I was hoping there'd be an easy swap but maybe there isn't, I did do white guages though.

Anyone ever tried fitting an electric dash out of a 1/2 cut?? i bought a GX81? '88 cressida 1/2 cut which came with a cool electronic dash setup. Just interested if anyone has done it before.

i have seen many P510 datsun 1600's with S13 or S14 dashes, to go along with the sr20 engine conversions and make use of more bits from the front cuts..
So i guess it would be possible... Oh and what about that white RA23 with the 1JZ-gte and chaser digi dash?? i think it may have been a QLD car yeh?? that car is mental..
