After much thinking is has been decided that the 7M-GTE is going to be droped into my toyota corona st141 . Nexted thing is what type of modification have to be done to fit this engine into the car. Does any one know where i can get a decent half cut for a decent price.i heard that the engine mounts have to be changed a fair bit, any help would be good weather it is posted on here or an e-mail to cantr70@hotmail.com.
Thanks

dont get me wrong a 7M can be done, its all about how much u are willing to spend and how much trouble u want to go thru...
some better options are the 1G-GTE (2 litre 6 cyl), or the 3S-GTE (2 litre 4 cyl), these engines will fit into the engine bay much easier than the big lump of 7M... but if u still want a BIG six in the engine bay a 1JZ-GTE (2.5 litre 6 cyl) would be a a better option than the 7M..
anyhoo check out the tech articles, and do some searching around the forums for some info on these engines, dont let me dissuade u if you have your heart set on a 7M, but if u want simmilar power for less trouble, then check out the 1G and 3S...
good luck

what year is your corona?
if it has the F series IRS rear end then u shouldnt need a diff upgrade..
to find out the type of diff u have check the ID plate under the bonnet and look for the "trans axle" code.. that will tell u the type of diff u have.. the "W5#" type code will be the gearbox and the "F283" type code will tell u the type of diff (ie F series) which is found in your early model supras and are pretty strong (250+ HP i think... can anyone confirm???)

i would suggest a 1g-gze if your looking for torque.. the 7m easly can be tickled for 400ft/lbs BUT if your back wheels are dangling in mid air and your front bumper is on the ground it wont matter!

i seriously don't think the 3.0L 7MGTE engine would be engineerable..... would it?
THats why I'm sticking with the 1GGTE engine in my case!

I don't think a 3S-GTE will be cheaper to put in... But is a MUCH better engine anyway.
The 7M-GTE is way too heavy for the Corona, it'll ruin the handling.
The 1G is your best bet. Talk to Abes (Assailant). He has a 1G-GTE ST141.
At Dyno Day 2, my stock 1G-GTE put out 0.4kW less than a stock 7M-GTE... Once boosted, the 1G-GTEs make more power than the 7M-GTE. Less torque though.
