Has anyone heard of this being done, I think it is theoretically possible but never seen anything like it. Does anyone have any thoughts about something like this?
I have looked into this and it doesn't look overl difficult. A TE71 (T18) crossmember bolts in, but you would need to weld on the rack and pinon mounts. The other option is to mod the ae70 or ke70 cross member shouldn't be to difficult that way you retain steering geometry. In Japan they had a TE70 I think so it should be fairly easy.
