/Enter rant/bitch mode Mad Mad Mad

As some of you may know I have been after a DLI converter for my 3S-GTE. Well over 4 months ago I transfered $150 to Anthony Kellam(some of you may know him) for him to make me one. I was promised that I would receive the item within a few weeks, Since that time I have been calling him at least once a week and all I got was some bullshit about him being busy and that I will get it tomorrow.
Again I was promised that he would come around and deliver it this afternoon and per usual he was a no show. So I ring him and I get some bullshit about being busy fitting some crap to a car, And I was then told that he would be around in an hour. Well after 2 hours later I ring his mobile and no answer, I immediately ring it again and find it to be turned off.
This guy apparently owns a business doing engine conversions, now someone explain how someone like this can run a business?
I know that there are people out there that have probably had good service by this guy, but I also know that there are people out there that have also been ripped off by him(I hope these people speak up as well).
I cant really think of anything else to say without a whole bunch of insulting words so I'll leave it at that for the moment. This is just a small warning for anyone that might be thinking about getting him to do something for you.

/Exit rant/bitch mode Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I think I did my best to stay civil in this post, but let me know if something need editing Confused

I'll wait for Speedcore to get in on this one as he's dealt / dealing with AK at the moment ...

Still, I have never met AK in person but I know that he does perform engine conversions for a reasonable price here in Brisbane and perhaps is the best person to see re putting in 20 valves into Sprinters.

He does not have the best PR skills from what I've heard but that is usually because he is very busy.

I'm sure that there is an explanation for his actions - I doubt he's a con as it wouldn't be good business for his workshop but hopefully this thread should stir things up and maybe get him get things moving for you ... Confused

He may not be a con but i think its just common courtesy to let someone know that meeting arrangements have changed

as im sure Shane would have had to organise himself around meeting times

this is CRUCIAL when running a business

Sorry to hear Shane

I took a lot of time off work for him when he said he was coming around. I also knocked back alot of overtime. So he really has cost me money with all his crap.

Yes its very hard to stay calm when this sort of shit happens. I will be be trying to call him all weekend to try and get the product, or even just get my money back.

That's rather unusual, since from all accounts i have found Anthony Kellam to be a relatively reliable guy, and have never heard a sinlge complaint about him until this thread.

P.S. If you want to find where he hides out - try www.twincam16.com

LOL dodgy, I was not going to make a comment here but I'll throw my 2 cents worth in just so we get a few opinions going!

Shocked Shocked This is news..... to me

Currently dealing with him,
Never had a problem with him,
He's looking after me!

Yes, it is taking a long time for my car to get finished....
BUT AND A BIG BUT......

This guy always has work comming out of his ears!!
And probably for this reason........

I don't really like how some people say that if you want a conversion done for cheap lets go to Anthony. (Not having a dig at you Dodgy Smile

My reason for getting my conversion done with him????

Well when you rock up to a workshop wanting to talk about possible conversions for a SPRINTER and there are three Sprinters sitting in the workshop, you start to wonder.... hmmmmmm maybe he likes to work on these cars and appreciates them for what they are.

He ran around town looking for a front cut for me, and when he found a good one rang me so we could see it together and to see what I thought about it!

I don't know, it all comes down to this......
Personally, I have not had any dramas with Anthony,
whether other people in this forum have is not my business to comment or speculate on!

All I can say he is a good guy with limited time in his workshop.

Peace out,
Adrian!

I can understand if someone is busy, but why would you keep taking jobs on if you havent finished the jobs your working on?

Well all I can say is that I am guilty of over committing myself. And when this (as it inevitably does) causes inconvenience to customers I am sorry. This is obviously a personal failing of mine. No one is perfect.

To you Shane, the answer may seem obvious. Dont take on too much work. But the thing about personal flaws is that they are not always easy to fix. I mean, making threats in public forums is stupid and shows an obvious character flaw in you but you seem unable to do anything about it. So each to their own.

One thing I am not guilty of is being a rip off in any way whatsoever.

Not completing your job in an acceptable timeframe has nothing to do with a desire to rip you off or with your job meaning any less to me than any other. More to do with poor time management etc. Believe me, I want nothing more than to keep everyone happy.

In any case, you have asked for a refund and I am more than glad to do that. To imply that I would, even for a second consider not giving you either the finished product or a refund is ridiculous. Anyone who knows me would tell you this.

So, if you believe you have done enough damage to me and my business I would kindly ask you to let this thread die rather than posting further speculations about me and my business.

I admit the title of this thread is a little wrong and I would happily change it but I cant! Maybe one of the moderators can do this.
One this I don't understand is this threat your are talking about! Please point this out and I will edit it if necessary.

it seems that this issue has been resolved - its a shame it had to be done publicly and not privately.
