Hi,
I have a new set of AE86 rear brake pad, brand is Bendix, made from some kind of friction material, asking au$60.
PS: any one know what kind of gear oil I should use in a stock AE86 LSD diff? Toyota LSD oil is 85W90/GL5, and I had put Castrol full sythentic 75W90/GL5, is it alright?
Thanks.

it's simple really, you put lsd type gear oil in an lsd diff.
if you use normal gear oil (as you have done),the lsd won't work properly.
go back to the parts shop you bought the wrong oil from, and buy something with this written on it: GL-5 SAE80/90w LSD hypoid gear oil.
if you're not sure, ask the guy behind the counter and stress that it's for a LSD diff.

Thank you, buddy,
if the wrong oil would damage the lsd?
cheers

I wouldn't be leaving it in there if it was my diff,I'll put it that way. I doubt it'll do any permanent damage, but for the sake of $50,just replace it with the right stuff.
