Hi Guys,
I have a J-spec 3SGE NA 2.0L engine from a Toyota MR2 for sale. It is from a 1992 G-Limited and has a claimed factory output of 168Hp. The engine only has 120,000Km and runs great. Oil used is Mobil 1 synthetic and has been in there for about 3000km and it is still see-through. (indicating that there is minimal crap in engine).
The engine is still in the car so you can see it running before you buy.
I'm selling the engine, ECU with all the wiring as well as the gearbox which is also in good condition, all for a bargain price of only $800.
If interested please email me on dnation@tpg.com.au
Cheers
Dave

I dont know the exact power output but I know its from the Revision 2 SW20 MR2. Its the one Just before the release of the MAP VTti 3SGE (198Hp) version. I'm pretty sure its the 168Hp one coz its a pretty good engine. I think its very comparable to the my 4AGZE.
The outputs of aussies ones are abit less in 1990-1993 (154Hp) and 1994+ (172Hp).
I'm in Sydney and its comes with a 5speed. I think it has an LSD cause i once tried a little burnout and it made 2 small tire marks (Very hard to burnout with S02 tyres on an MR2). However when I jack it up and put the shifter in neutral and spin one wheel, the other wheel didnt spin as well..
I'm selling coz I just bought an MR2 turbo engine so have no future use for this guy.
Cheers
Dave

Hi MAte,
I dont think I can help you by Thursday coz the engine is still in my MR2 and my 9-5 job demands more than 8 hour days.

Hi Mate,
I dont think I can help you by Thursday coz the engine is still in my MR2 and my 9-5 job demands more than 8 hour days so I dont have any time to take it out. Also, I wont have access to an engine hoist until Sat.
If you are talking about Gen 2 and 3 in terms of Jap SW20 MR2 slang, then yes, mine is DEFINATELY a Gen 2 SW20 MR2. Gen 1 SW20 3SG's were made in (1990-1991 with AFM), gen 2's made in 1992-1993 with AFM, gen 3s 1994+ and all had MAP 3SG's.
