Basically as the title suggests... Researching for upcomng project.
I've heard of 1g, 1j, 1uz all going in, as well as commo 6 and 8, and 13bt.
What's people's recomendations? When were the 1g-gte's produced up to? (since a conversion has to be a newer model..).
Is the only real problem with 7m's the headgasket?
Also, for the engine you recommend, what's an approx price for a halfcut?
Cheers.

if the (89-96) means the eyars of production itd ither have a 2s or a 22r in it... i have seen 1ggte's in these 2wd hilux's they sit in there nicely.. it really depends on if you want a 4 a 6 or a v8 for a 4 cyl i would be going an sr20det or a 22rte
rotor i'd be going 13bt from an s4/5, 6 cyl i would be going 1ggte or 1jz if non turbo i would be going holden v6, v8 i`d be going a holden 5 ltr or a 1uz theyre just some options the rest is up to you the holden 5 ltr's are exxy so prolly be better off going the 1uz.
