Ok, i have a set of extractors on my 4AGE, and its time to put the 02 sensor in, now ive been told that it has to be where all 4 pipes intersect, so it samples exhaust from all cylinders. Is this true? or can i just put it in one of the pipes and have it run just as good?

well on the original manifold it's at the bottom where it can sample all 4 cylinders..
so i would say it's correct to have it where all 4 join together.

You can place the O2 sensor in any one of the pipes, but doing so you will be running the risk that all cylinders will be operating under identical conditions all the time. If the cylinder that has the O2 sensor runs rich while the others are lean then the computer will lean out the engine to compensate for the rich signal on the O2 sensor hence allowing possible damage to occur on the other cylinders. Seems an unlikely case, but it is possible for a number of reasons.
Better to place it at the join of all four pipes to get an average reading.
Cheers.

The only thing to watch, if it's a one wire sender, that it gets hot enough to operate correctly if it's too far down the exhaust pipe. Otherwise you may have to fit a heated unit.
For what it's worth, I run mine at the 2 -> 1 junction.

A lot of aftermarket headers only sample one cylinder. I don't even have an oxy sensor on my 4AG
