flange 1j turbos onto 1g manifold?

Guys. Wondering what you think of having a flange made up to attach a set of 1jz turbos onto the manifold of a 1ggte motor. Ever seen it? Do you think it would be much cheaper than having a whole manifold made?
Cheers fellas.

Do you mean an Adapter plate. I spose it could work
U sed an adapter plate for the vg30 on my old 3tgt. worked a treat and only cost me $80.

Yes! sounds good! I'll take two!!! Thanks mate!
I wonder if these impede the performance of the turbo. Anybody know where I can pick up one of these babies.
Toyo3t: Where did you get yours mate?
Anymore thoughts before I go ahead and buy some turbos.
CT12's suck!!!! To quote an earlier post " all those pissy turbos are good for are ripping off and leaving on the ground to rust!"
Dam straight!!!!

Adapter plates could be made by your exaust man.
Very simple concept, just a 10mm plate with countersunk bolts on one side. I even had mine machined so it didn't require gaskets.
I have been considering this kind of arrangement for my 1j.
twin rb20 turbo's or maybe something else.
You only neeed to sort out oil and water lines then.
I have heard of someone who put twin rb20's on his 1j but using a custom exhaust manifold, general concensus was that the 3-4000$ it ended up costing was not worth the gain. however with adapterplates instead of a $2000 manifold it may just be worth it.
I think he made nearly 350 rwhp. (limit of stocko's in <300.)
Something to think about

Don't play with CT12's or RB20 turbo's.
Put a T04e on there and be done with it.
You know you want to.

OK you got me there...
I was just trying not to blow 6g's on a hair dryer setup.
and maybe preserve a little driveability...

Nah I 've already checked out the best turbo for my 1j, (within reason) If i was gunna buy a new unit on a budget I would get a garret t64. twin roller bearing, and just to the right of its efficiency band flowing 600 hp at 20 psi.
